Adventures for Every Season
A Few of our Favorite Experiences
Jane loves to go to two spas in Stowe: Stowe Mountain Resort and Top Notch. Insider Tip: If you book any treatment at Stowe Mountain Spa, parking is free and access to the whole spa and fitness center is free. There is a really nice gym looking out at the ski trails, outdoor heated pool and inside women's lounge with a wonderful steam room and sauna. Top Notch is her other favorite spa, although a little more expensive. You can order prosecco while sitting in the outdoor hot tub, which is a really cool experience in the snow. A beautiful indoor swimming pool with waterfall and very nice showers in the women's area.
Stowe Bowl is a really swank bowling alley with good food. The owners opened their boutique bowling lounge in 2016 and customers have been ecstatic about the venue ever since. We couldn't believe how great it was when we first discovered it.
The historic Savoy Theatre in Montpelier, The Big Picture Theatre in Waitsfield and Stowe Cinema all serve real drinks you can take into the show.
Spruce Peak Peforming Arts Center
This is a beautiful theatre showcasing national and international performers; we love going here. It is a performing arts space showcasing dance, concerts & more in an ample, lodge-like interior.
Ben & Jerry's Factory Tour
Visit the Ben & Jerry's Waterbury Factory and learn how Ben & Jerry’s gets so much deliciousness into every scoop! Take the 30-minute guided factory tour and learn how they make ice cream.
Live Glass Blowing Demonstration
Ziemke Glassblowing Studio is located on scenic Route 100 between Stowe and Waterbury Vermont. It is the working glass studio of glass artist Glenn Ziemke. The Studio features a large gallery showcasing the complete line of Glenn’s colorful and classically inspired art glass. From the observation room, visitors can watch glassblowing in action as each unique piece is created one at a time.
