Our stay at the lonely goat was awesome! The coffee in the morning was delicious and the binder of local tips was great, it was a quick drive to Stowe.

Perfect for a Couple

This space is absolutely perfect for a couple. There was plenty of space and everything we needed. It was super comfortable and had everything we love when traveling - a clean and aesthetically pleasing space, a comfortable bed, great shower and a place to make a quick meal if needed. Loved it!

A Lovely Getaway

The Goat is great! We loved the aesthetic of the old farm house with all the simple yet thoughtful touches Greg andJane provided. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is nice and big and the kitchen had all we needed to cook dinner one evening. Conveniently located between Waterbury Center and Stowe and the hosts’ guide to places to go was helpful and fun to look through. It was a lovely getaway. Thank you!

Charming and Welcoming

The Lonely Goat was an amazing little getaway. It is a charming building that is close to everything. Gregory provided coffee and half and half which was a great way to start the day. There was also lavender bath salts and shampoo, which were cute little touches. Right next door is a glass blowing shop that I highly recommend, there is a viewing room to watch them blow glass. Gregory was very welcoming and offered to help if we needed help or suggestions on local favorites. I would definitely come stay at the Lonely Goat again!!!

Clean and Warm

This place is awesome! Perfect for 2 people. Clean, warm, has everything you need. Location is perfect. Close to the mountains, Burlington, and the Ben and Jerry’s headquarters. Hosts were very helpful and are incredibly talented musicians. Go see them play at a local joint if you get the chance, you won’t regret it.

Fantastic Hosts

Greg and Jane were fantastic hosts. Every good review you read for them is spot on: the space is cozy and comfortable, the location is great (close to some great restaurants, close to I-89, easy to find) and it really felt like a home away from home. They were our first Airbnb rental, and they set the benchmark extremely high for anyone else we stay with in the future.

Fanastic Apartment and Can't Beat the Price for the Location!

I can't speak highly enough about my stay at the Lonely Goat! The apartment is fantastic and the location can't be beat for the price. Greg was super responsive and thoughtful throughout our stay. I would definitely plan to stay here again for my next trip to the Stowe/Waterbury area.

We Left our Hearts with Them

In spite of the severe weather, we pulled up to Greg and Jane’s front door with ease. They provided us with our door code, as our accommodations had a separate, private entrance. The foyer outside of our door meant an additional barrier against the cold and ideal place to leave our ski gear. The room was like a large studio apartment, with a well equipped kitchenette (oven/refrigerator/double sink) stocked with fresh, organic coffee beans, a grinder, organic cream and organic sugar, and wall mounted television. The large queen sized bed was very comfortable, fresh and perfectly dressed. The bathroom, like the main room, was pristine, quite large, with a circular shower with both an overhead shower head and a hand held nozzle, AND a free standing large clawfoot bathtub! Towels were in abundance. We had windows on two sides (three, if one counts the bathroom), the view from which is now my favorite screensaver! It was Christmas, Greg and Jane happily welcomed us into their separate private part of the house, where we left our hearts with them both AND their two sweet little dogs! We very much look forward to another visit in the near future!

A Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay! The location is top notch- right along the main road and easy to access both Stowe Mountain and Waterbury. Gregory and Jane are very warm and friendly with great recommendations for the area. Check out the Green Goddess for breakfast-yum! If you're a musician- you'll love spending time with these two and might even get a jam session in! The bed is super comfy and bathtub with epsom salts after a long day of skiing was a great bonus! Delicious coffee as well. Thanks, Gregory and Jane!! Look forward to next time.

Perfect for our Needs

The Lonely Goat was perfect for our needs. Quick access, middle of everything, and beautiful chic space. The hosts were so sweet and hospitable, Even gave us one of their CDs. The space was clean, well decorated, and had all the necessities for a breakfast in, a nice bath, and a great mud room area after skiing. We'd gladly return.

Loved my Stay

I absolutely loved my stay at The Lonely Goat. As a long time visitor to the Stowe/Waterbury area, I was really excited to see this option pop up and give it a go! I was very familiar with the location and super psyched with where it was located. The apartment was cozy and warm with the most comfy blankets on the bed. The tub and shower were both lovely and it was very nice having coffee and a French press available in the morning. Hopefully when we return in the winter for a ski trip, the lonely goat will be an available option!
